Abstract:

During his lifetime, Ho Chi Minh always regarded journalism as a front in the revolutionary battle. He believed that journalists are revolutionaries, with their pen and paper being powerful weapons. Ho Chi Minh presented the view: “For journalists, the pen is a sharp weapon, and the article is a revolutionary call to rally the masses to fight against old and new colonialism and imperialism led by American imperialism, for national independence, social progress, and world peace”(1). To carry out this mission, journalists must be revolutionary fighters. This means that the task of journalism requires journalists to possess the qualities of a revolutionary cadre: they must not be afraid of hardships, sacrifice, and must wholeheartedly serve the country and the people.
